How does this spam checker work?
It scans your subject and body for the classic heuristic tells filters and readers share: manufactured urgency, guarantee language, click-here constructions, shouted capitals, exclamation density, link count, currency amounts, fake reply prefixes and list-mail markers like unsubscribe in a one-to-one email. Each hit is named with the reason.
Is this the same as a SpamAssassin score?
No, and we will not pretend it is. SpamAssassin scores a full message with headers over SMTP; this scans draft text before you send. Use this while writing, and remember content is only half the picture \u2014 the other half is your domain's records and sending reputation.
Why does my clean-scoring email still land in spam?
Because placement is mostly reputation, not text: your domain's SPF, DKIM and DMARC, your sending history, your volume ramp and engagement. Run the deliverability test on this site to check the record half, and warm mailboxes properly before volume.
